Ehrensvärd Museum:

The Ehrensvärd Museum, located in the castle courtyard, in the house that served as the official residence of the castle's commandants, presents the history of the Swedish period of the castle. The house was first occupied by Augustin Ehrensvärd, the founder of the castle.

The museum's collections include portraits, models, weapons, Custavian furniture and oil paintings of Suomenlinna Castle from the 1760s.

Suomenlinna Museum:

The basic exhibition presents the history of the fortress spanning more than 270 years. You can learn about historical events and the lives of the people who lived and worked in Suomenlinna through the picture books on the touch screens. The exhibition also includes artefacts, tools, weapons and ammunition found in excavations and attics at Suomenlinna.

Upstairs, the museum presents the extensive restoration work carried out on the fortress.
